Art + Soul Presents: Oaktown Throwdown Oakland’s Inaugural Competition BBQ Fest Date: August 1-2, 2014 Location: Jefferson & 12th St, Downtown Oakland, a block from City Hall. Competition-quality barbecue in Oakland for the public to enjoy. Ribs, chicken, brisket and pulled pork (and Tri Tip for the backyarders)--Hella Yes! Plus People's Choice and Desert Competitions. A BBQ festival with pro and amateur teams competing in a KCBS sanctioned competition, with family entertainment, celebrity cook-offs, cooking demos, music, awards, barbecue vendors, Oakland BBQ history display, and beer and bourbon sales. This event is in partnership with the Art + Soul Festival, the East Bay Express. |
