The AZBBQA 2nd Annual Hoof & Foot Contest went without a hitch!
Everyone had fun learning more about how to cook in a competition.
Those that had been in competitions before were very helpful to the
first timers on showing them what can and should not be done.
Jim Markert (Holy Smoke) orchestrated a Presentation Clinic in the
middle of the day for everyone to show them the do's and dont's on
presenting entries. He was thorough and descriptive and did a
wonderful job.
We did have a three way tie in the Chicken category in which we had
to fall back on the Judge 6 scores to break. Even then, two of the
scores only had a difference of 1 point. (7-8-6 vs. 7-8-7)
It was a great activity/event this past Saturday, and I am getting
reports from many at how much fun they had. I sure am looking forward
to next year's event!
